Here are some of the books I have really enjoyed reading with my older children. Just because your child can read does not mean they don't need to be read to. I read to all of my kids for as long as they are living with me. Sharing literature with your older kids is like having an inside joke. You have a shared experience that will come up again and again. I don't know how many times I am with my kids and something reminds us of a character in a book or a favorite line in a book and we look at each other and start quoting. It is a bonding experience that can't be beat!
